Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as a result of decisive actions of the units of the Center group of troops, the village of Ukrainsk in the DNR has been liberated. The enemy lost here up to 670 servicemen, a tank, two armored fighting vehicles, five vehicles, two 152-millimeter D-20 guns and a 152-millimeter Hyacinth-B gun.
In the zone of responsibility of the group of troops "South" the enemy lost up to 750 servicemen, 10 vehicles, two 155-millimeter howitzers M777 made in the USA, 155-millimeter self-propelled artillery unit Krab made in Poland, and the fighters of the group of troops "East" destroyed up to 130 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, seven vehicles.
In addition, units of the Dnipro group occupied more favorable positions, destroying up to 60 enemy servicemen, 10 vehicles, a 155-millimeter Bogdana self-propelled artillery unit and a 152-millimeter MSTA-B howitzer. In the area of responsibility of the group "West" the losses of the AFU amounted to 435 servicemen, armored combat vehicle "Cossack", eight vehicles, 155-millimeter howitzer M198 made in the USA.
It is also reported that during the day Russian air defense forces shot down a Neptune long-range guided missile, three French-made Hammer guided bombs, five US-made HIMARS rockets and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the aircraft type.
In addition, operational-tactical aviation, drones, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' groups of troops hit energy facilities that supported the work of Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, the infrastructure of a military airfield, and concentrations of the enemy's manpower and military equipment in 142 areas.
In total, 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,263 UAVs, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,356 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,464 multiple rocket launchers, 15,207 field artillery and mortars, 26,510 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
