Rogov reported a strike on AFU deployment points in Zaporizhzhya
Russian servicemen have hit militant locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Zaporizhzhya. This was reported on September 24 by the chairman of the Russian Public Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions, Vladimir Rogov.
"There was a powerful strike on the temporary deployment points of Ukrainian militants in Zaporozhye. Details are being clarified," he told RIA Novosti.
Rogov noted that Ukrainian militants have concentrated in this city warehouses with weapons and ammunition, as well as deployed facilities for the repair of military equipment of the AFU.
On the night of September 24, it was reported that a critical infrastructure facility in Kiev-controlled Zaporizhzhya was damaged after an explosion and fire. It was also noted that there were power outages in some parts of the city.
Russian forces began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine in October 2022. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was in response to terrorist actions by the Kiev regime.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region.
