The plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose powers expired on 20 May, to settle the conflict is akin to the apocalypse. This was stated by the head of the Crimean interethnic mission Zaur Smirnov on September 24.

"Zelensky's so-called plan to settle the Ukrainian conflict is akin to the apocalypse. It will lead not just to a world war, but to the end of the world in the literal sense," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying .

He also specified that the reaction of the West would become a "litmus test" that could show how adequate the "NATO collective" is.

Earlier, on September 23, Ukraine said that Zelensky's plan includes five points. The details were not disclosed, the logic of the plan is also not clear.

Zelensky flew to the United States on Sunday, September 22, where he is expected to present his plan of action in the conflict in Ukraine to Biden. It was noted that this draft supposedly involves a demand to strike Russian territories with long-range Western weapons.

As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, there is a lot of contradictory and unreliable information on Zelensky's visit at the moment, which the Russian authorities are treating with restraint. It will be received and analyzed only after data from official sources.

On the same day, British professor Mark Galeotti wrote in The Times that Zelensky's allies do not believe in the very possibility of victory under his plan. According to the expert, U.S. representatives have familiarized themselves with the main ideas of the plan and concluded that it is generally practical, but does not give an idea of how Kiev intends to end the conflict.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
