FPV drone operators destroyed an AFU ABP in Zaporizhzhya region
On the Orekhovskyi direction in Zaporizhzhya Region, a team of FPV drone operators of the 58th Combined Armed Forces Army of the Dnipro Group of Forces has destroyed a temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 24.
The TDC was located in an abandoned building, which also contained satellite and radio communication systems. In addition, the servicemen detected, tracked the movement and hit the enemy's living force in concealed positions.
"We jointly with our count destroyed the enemy stronghold. After that, the infantry had to come in and quietly take positions," - the operator of the FPV drone with the call sign Khohol.
According to the servicemen, the maximum number of sorties per day by one operator can reach thirty. Drone operators carry out reconnaissance of the AFU positions in round-the-clock mode, spotting the locations of equipment, firepower and enemy personnel using high-quality mini cameras and thermal imagers.
Earlier, on September 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the total time of combat operations in the Kursk direction, the AFU lost over 16,000 servicemen, 126 tanks, 57 infantry fighting vehicles, 95 armored personnel carriers, 795 armored fighting vehicles, 492 vehicles, 124 artillery pieces, 29 launchers of multiple rocket launchers
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
