Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan spoke about the benefits of the EAEU for the country
Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has favorably affected the country's economy, the republic's ambassador to Russia Kubanychbek Bokontayev said in an interview with Izvestia.
"Undoubtedly, the Kyrgyz Republic's accession to the EAEU has had a favorable impact on the economy of our country. According to macroeconomic indicators, over nine years, the average annual GDP growth of the Kyrgyz Republic under the conditions of the union has developed at the level of 3.9%. In general, the nominal GDP in 2023 amounted to more than 1.2 trillion soms and tripled compared to 2015. Also, budget revenues have tripled and the level of trade turnover with the EAEU countries has doubled," he said.
In addition, of the positive changes as a result of participation in the association was the access of citizens of the republic to the single labor market of the EAEU, the ambassador added.
"The preferences in the EAEU significantly simplified the employment process and created conditions for legal, voluntary and safe labor migration," he said.
