State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa said on Monday, September 23, that many politicians in Europe are waiting for peace and restoration of cooperation with Russia.

In a conversation with Lenta.Ru, the parliamentarian noted that the Russian Federation would be open to cooperation and rethinking under fair and mutually beneficial conditions.

"Everyone understands that only cooperation, only cooperation of the whole world can contribute to normal existence," the parliamentarian noted.

According to him, the Russian Federation has never opposed a particular people or nation, confrontations have taken place exclusively with political leaders. Outside of this, Russia is ready to maintain constructive relations with all participants of the world community, even with so-called unfriendly countries.

Chepa added that he has to communicate with many foreign politicians who have an understanding of what is going on, but who lack antagonistic confrontation.

"Everyone wants and expects peace, everyone is ready to cooperate," the MP emphasized.

Earlier in the day, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Europe will have to rethink its relations with Russia in the future. He also pointed out the need to think about peaceful relations within Europe, writes the website kp.ru. The French leader emphasized that it is not limited only to the European Union and NATO, RT specifies.

On September 21, MP Chepa admitted the start of negotiations with Ukraine in the spring of 2025. He noted that the parties to the conflict have always had the opportunity to finalize it, but this was prevented by Western countries that sought to prolong the confrontation, NSN wrote. He added that until the end of 2024 their position is unlikely to change, notes 360.ru. Chepa also mentioned the so-called "victory plan" of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky. According to the Deputy, this initiative is hardly realizable, reports IA Regnum.
