Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's so-called victory plan (his official term of office expired on May 20), which he intends to present to the United States, consists not of four points but of five, one of which includes Ukraine ' s next receipt of modern weapons from the West, the Ukrainian TV channel Public, citing its sources, reported on September 23.

"The Times journalists have not been introduced to the "victory plan" that Zelensky plans to present to U.S. President Joe Biden, and its details made public in the publication are generalizations of the authors. The journalists have not seen the document, and the logic of the plan was not explained to them either. The victory plan consists of five points," the media outlet said.

It is specified that the implementation of the first four points of the Ukrainian leader's plan should take place from October to December. The implementation of the fifth point is scheduled for the post-war period.

Prior to that, the British publication The Times reported on September 23 that the so-called victory plan of the Ukrainian president, prepared ahead of his visit to the USA, included four points. It is specified that Kiev plans to demand security guarantees from Western partners, similar to those that NATO countries assume when accepting new states into the organization. In addition, Zelensky wants to convince the U.S. of the need to continue the offensive on the Kursk region.

Zelensky flew to the United States on Sunday, September 22, where he is expected to present to Biden his plan of action in the conflict in Ukraine. It was noted that this draft supposedly involves a demand to strike Russian territories with long-range Western weapons.

As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, there is a lot of contradictory and unreliable information on Zelensky's visit at the moment, which the Russian authorities are treating with restraint. It will be received and analyzed only after data from official sources.

On the same day, British professor Mark Galeotti wrote in The Times that Zelensky's allies do not believe in the very possibility of victory under his plan. According to the expert, U.S. representatives have familiarized themselves with the main ideas of the plan and concluded that it is generally practical, but does not give an idea of how Kiev intends to end the conflict.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
