The Central Bank of Russia has issued more than 1 million commemorative coins dedicated to the Soviet cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog". This is reported on September 23 on the website of the regulator.
A total of three types of such coins appeared in circulation, in particular, two variants with a face value of 25 rubles. They consist of nickel-coated steel and copper-nickel alloy with color coating and printed in an edition of 850 thousand and 150 thousand pieces, respectively.
In addition, a three-ruble coin made of silver was produced in an edition of 7 thousand copies, specified "Gazeta.Ru".
Cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog" created at the studio "Soyuzmultfilm" in 1975, directed by Yuri Norshtein. Dedicated to him special coins are part of the thematic series "Russian (Soviet) animation".
Earlier, September 9, the central banks of Russia and Belarus issued commemorative coins for the 25th anniversary of the signing of the treaty on the establishment of the Union State. The Russian version also included a three-ruble silver coin and copper-nickel coin with a face value of Br25.
