Rosobrnadzor has issued warnings to five universities that have violated mandatory requirements for the Russian language exam for migrants. Information about this appeared on Monday, September 23, on the official website of the federal service.

"Five warnings are announced to educational organizations on the inadmissibility of violation of mandatory requirements for the examination in Russian as a foreign language, the history of Russia and the basics of legislation of the Russian Federation", - is indicated in the message of the agency.

In addition, it is noted that this measure was taken in connection with the issuance of certificates to foreign citizens.

The list of violators included the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN), St. Petersburg State University (SPbSU), Ufa University of Science and Technology, Pskov State University and the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language.

Earlier, on April 16, Rosobrnadzor had already announced warnings about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements for the examination. RUDN, St. Petersburg State University, Pskov State University and the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language were also among the universities that received warnings. On April 8, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation reported thatillegal issuance of certificates of Russian language proficiencywas organized there.

On April 18, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov said that from May 1, commercial organizations would not be able to participate in the organization of the Russian language exam for migrants. In addition, in the future, each region of the Russian Federation will have a university responsible for conducting this test. The Minister also instructed to strengthen control over the procedure for organizing the exam and issuing the certificate.

On September 19, First Deputy Interior Minister of Russia Alexander Gorovoy pointed out the need to strengthen control over examinations for migrants to suppress cases with the provision of fake certificates. He emphasized that these measures are illegitimate, but law enforcers are often approached with fake documents by people who cannot even communicate in the language.
