In Crimea, Ukrainian sentenced to 14 years in prison for espionage
The Zaporizhzhya regional court in Crimea has sentenced Ukrainian citizen M. Sukhachev to 14 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony in the espionage case. This was reported on September 23 by the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Central Military District.
It was established that the defendant passed information to the Ukrainian security services about the use of anti-aircraft missile units of Russian troops during a special operation in the Zaporizhzhya region. A criminal case was initiated under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
Earlier, on September 21, it was reported that officers of the FSSB in the Lugansk People's Republic together with the FSSB of Russia's Rosgvardia detained a woman who cooperated with the Ukrainian special services. It was specified that the detainee passed information about Russian military personnel to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). A criminal case on state treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) has been launched.
