Members of a family from the village of Krasnaya Sopka in Krasnoyarsk Krai were poisoned after buying chicken and dumplings in a store. All four children of the couple died one after another, and they themselves were hospitalized in serious condition. The woman is nine months pregnant. The police are clarifying the circumstances of what happened. Details - in the material "Izvestia".

Poisoning of the family

On Friday, September 20, a husband and wife from the Krasnoyarsk village of Krasnaya Sopka bought a pack of dumplings and raw chicken in the local store "Olymp". They always bought semi-finished products of the same brand, but this time they took a different brand, the man said later. The wife prepared lunch from the products: the eldest daughter did not eat the meat, but the dumplings were tried by all family members, including three other minor children. There was also chicken for dinner. In the morning, everyone felt worse: nausea and stomach ache.

The father took omeprazole, but it did not help. He indicated that he vaguely remembered what happened next, as his eyes began to darken and he felt dizzy.

Soon the youngest daughter lost consciousness. At this time, a relative Irina came to the spouses. According to the woman, at first she could not reach the owners, and then the man with difficulty came out and took the children out. "The children came out in a bunch, the little one, the middle one was propped up in front of him, I put him in an armful - and pulled him out, the car was standing here," she said. Irina added that the child literally fell in her arms. She took everyone to the hospital, the family was hospitalized.

On Saturday, September 21, it became known that two of the four children died in the clinic - a six-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. The next day, the third child died, another day later - the fourth. At the same time, it became known that the mother was nine months pregnant. The adults regained consciousness only on Monday morning.

Possible causes of poisoning

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or sale of goods and products that do not meet the requirements of safety of life or health of consumers, causing the death of two persons by negligence").

A version of poisoning is being considered, as an unknown toxic substance was found in the products. The spouses could have mistakenly flavored their lunch with pesticides, mistaking them for salt, Izvestia's source said. They were found in the family home, including in the kitchen. At the same time, the mother said at the first interrogation that she did not add foreign substances to the food, but seasoned the chicken. According to her, only adults ate meat, while everyone ate dumplings.

Now a chemical examination is being conducted. It has not yet been proved that it was the pesticides found that caused the children's deaths.

Further checks

The seller of the store where the products were bought, told Izvestia that the semi-finished products and chickens were seized. The owner of the store "Olymp" is an individual entrepreneur E. Fedorov.

The outlet was checked. As reported by the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor, the products were sold with violations of veterinary requirements. It is specified that semi-finished products were on sale twice in August, and certificates for them were issued only in September. In addition, the store issued only 41 veterinary accompanying documents for products of animal origin for the current year.

"According to the results of the analysis of FGIS "Mercury" we can conclude that the bulk of products came to the store for sale without being accompanied by veterinary accompanying documents, of unknown origin, without confirmation of its safety, in respect of which is not provided traceability", - stated in the message of the agency.

Deputy Prosecutor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Evgeny Mostovoy went to the village where the family lived to be reported on the progress of the case investigation and the results of the prosecutor's inspection, which was held jointly with the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

The supplier of the dumplings, Igor Tsilyurnik, is in hospital, the man said on September 23. "I myself only learned about the incident from the news. I don't know when these very deliveries took place. I have been out of town for more than a month. I have been lying in a hospital in Krasnodar for over a month. While I am away, my director is in charge of things," he commented on the situation.

It is reported that the company LLC "Orlan", which is registered to him, is a frequent participant in court hearings on criminal and administrative cases, and it has had its accounts blocked since September 23. The number of the company consists of only two people: Igor Tsilyurnik and Sergei Konkov, who holds the post of director.

What is known about the family

According to the neighbor of the family Alexei Sidorenko, the spouses are "good people, working". "As about the parents, only pluses can be called. Shock. Not only me, but everyone who knew them: their relatives, relatives and friends. Of course, shock. The grief for the family is great," he said.
