In Krasnoyarsk region checked the store where the poisoned family bought food
The store in Krasnoyarsk region, where the poisoned family bought chicken dumplings, sold products with violations of veterinary requirements. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor department on Monday, September 23.
Specialists found out that for the current year the store has issued only 41 veterinary accompanying document for products of animal origin.
Dumplings, in which an unknown toxic substance was found, arrived in August twice, and certificates for them were issued only in September.
"According to the results of the analysis of FGIS "Mercury" we can conclude that the main volume of products came into the store for sale without being accompanied by veterinary accompanying documents, of unknown origin, without confirmation of its safety, in respect of which traceability is not provided", - stated in the message.
Earlier this morning, law enforcement officials reported that the parents of four children who died of poisoning after a dinner of chicken and dumplings, regained consciousness. They are expected to be questioned soon with the investigative authorities.
The poisoning of the family in the village of Krasnaya Sopka, Krasnoyarsk Krai, was reported on September 21. The victims sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the underage brother and sister died. Later, on September 22, a third child died, and on September 23, a fourth child died. The adults were in serious condition.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or sale of goods and products that do not meet the safety requirements of life or health of consumers, causing the death of two persons by negligence").
The State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region said that the products, which are believed to have poisoned the family, were bought in one of the stores in the village, its owner was questioned and the products were seized. The agency said that the mother of the dead children is nine months pregnant.
According to Izvestiya's source, the family members may have mistakenly consumed pesticides, confusing them with seasoning.
