The number of casualties after the AFU attack on Belgorod region increased to 12
The number of people injured in the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the village of Cheremoshnoye in Belgorod Region has increased to 12. This is reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on September 22.
"Unfortunately, we have increased the number of victims to 12. Two more men independently applied to the city hospital #2 of Belgorod," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
One of the men has multiple shrapnel wounds of the lower extremities. In turn, the other patient was given the necessary medical care and released for outpatient treatment, the governor said.
Gladkov specified that seven of the 12 injured are in the hospital of Belgorod region, three people are operated on by doctors. According to the regional governor, among the wounded are self-defense fighters. One of them is in serious condition, two - in a state of moderate severity.
Earlier, on September 21, Gladkov reported that the AFU struck the villages of Nikolayevka, Krasnye Zori and the town of Shebekino in Belgorod Region. Two houses and a car were damaged.
Before that, on September 19, the governor said that two private houses burned down because of the AFU attack on Shebekino city district. In addition, the village of Petrovka in Belgorod district came under fire; windows in two private houses were blown out there, and shell shrapnel hit roofs and fences. A farm building burned down on one of the plots.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
