In the Japanese prefecture of Ishikawa at least 60 thousand people were advised to evacuate because of heavy rains. This was reported by Jiji Press on Sunday, September 22.

According to the government, one person died in the city of Suzu, and in the cities of Suzu, Wajima and Noto three people are missing.

It is noted that as a result of prolonged rains on the peninsula flooded many houses. Some buildings were also destroyed by landslides.

Earlier, September 21, in Ishikawa prefecture was declared a state of emergency due to heavy rains. The warning applies to the cities of Wajima, Suzu and Noto village. Agency officials are urging people in the affected areas to exercise extreme caution due to the risk of flooding and landslides.
