In Gorlovka of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) one person was killed and eight more civilians were wounded on Saturday, September 21, as a result of Ukrainian attacks. This was reported by the head of the region Denis Pushilin.

"From the side of the VFU 43 armed attacks were made, more than 100 ammunition was fired. Used barrel artillery of 155 mm caliber, including cluster type, attack UAVs," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

He said that attacks with the use of kamikaze UAVs and the dropping of explosive objects occurred in the Nikitovsky district, the Central City district and the locality of Naberezhnoye of the Novoazovsky district.

"Three wounded are in a serious condition, two more in a condition of medium severity, all are provided with the necessary medical care," added Pushilin.

It is also specified that four residential buildings in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, Central City and Kalininsky districts of Gorlovka and five civil infrastructure facilities in the Nikitovsky (gas station, gas pipeline), Central City (children's sports school, boiler house, gas pipeline) districts of Gorlovka were damaged.

Earlier, on September 20, it was reported that three people were killed and 15 civilians were injured as a result of the AFU shelling of the DNR territory. Also damaged were private homes, civilian infrastructure, including the bus station building, a store and a closed warehouse. In Gorlovka, a fire tanker truck of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, a bus of route No. 2 and a private car were hit.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
