The Tango aircraft demonstrator developed by S7 Group made its maiden flight
A flight demonstrator of the Tango aircraft developed by S7 Group has made its first flight. This was reported on Saturday, September 21, by the holding's press service.
"In the morning of September 21, a test flight of the flight demonstrator of the Tango aircraft, created and developed by S7 Group, took place at an airfield in the Moscow region," the Telegram channel reports.
It is specified that the aircraft made a successful takeoff, completed the test program and landed safely at the airfield.
Tango is a four-seat light-engine training airplane. It has been developed over the past year and a half at S7's technical base in Torbeyevo, Moscow Region. The aircraft, as the press service notes, is made of domestic composite materials.
The airplane is powered by UL Power 520is engine. In parallel with the development of Tango, the holding is creating its own engine of similar power. At present, test trials of the first sample are underway, the holding notes.
In the future, it is planned to use the aircraft for initial training of aviation personnel in Russia, as well as for flights for private purposes.
Earlier, on August 23, the Russian passenger plane MS-21-300 performed the figure of aerobatics ranversman, used in combat aviation. It is noted that such capabilities of the airplane are ensured by the reliability of its design, perfect aerodynamics and the most modern control system.
