Former Minister of Regional and National Policy Yevgeny Sapiro died

Former Minister of Regional and National Policy of the Russian Federation Evgeny Sapiro died at the 91st year of life. This was reported on September 21 by the head of the Perm region Dmitry Makhonin.

The cause of death is not specified. The date and place of farewell to Shapiro is unknown.

"The name of Evgeny Saulovich became a landmark for a whole generation of scientists and politicians of the Perm region," Makhonin wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, Sapiro made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Perm region. For example, the "Perm Compatriotic Society" and the "Stroganov Prize" were created.

Sapiro represented the region in the Federation Council and also headed the Ministry of Regional and National Policy of the Russian Federation.

Makhonin expressed his condolences to his family and friends, as well as to those who continue to develop his work.
