Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike on Ukrainian energy facilities
The Russian army has struck overnight at energy facilities that ensure the operation of Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) enterprises, the Russian Defense Ministry has said. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 21.
"Tonight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a group strike with high-precision weapons and strike drones on energy facilities that ensure the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, strikes were also carried out on the locations of personnel, weapons and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and drone production workshops. All the targets of the strikes were achieved, each designated object was hit.
The units of the "North" group of forces defeated the formations of two brigades of the AFU Marine Corps and the AFU thero-defense forces in the Liptsy and Volchansk directions in the vicinity of the settlements of Liptsy, Volchansk, Volchanskiye Khutora in Kharkiv region and near the city of Kharkiv. In addition, the Russian military repelled three attacks by the Ukrainian army there. The AFU lost up to 135 military personnel, four vehicles, two 152 mm caliber D-20 guns and two 122 mm D-30 howitzers.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that a drone calculation of the Arctic Brigade of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed the Ukrainian electronic reconnaissance station Plastun in the Kakhovsky direction. The station was discovered with the help of a reconnaissance drone. Having received the coordinates, the Russian military hit Plastun with an attack drone.
On the same day, the ministry said that snipers of the Southern group of troops destroyed the AFU's manpower and disrupted the enemy's rotation in the Donetsk direction. Hidden firing points of the Ukrainian army were discovered by a reconnaissance unit, and then Russian snipers made accurate shots at the AFU personnel from a distance of 400 meters.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
