Russia and China launch joint exercise "Beibu/Interaction-2024"
The Russian-Chinese maritime exercise "Beibu/Interaction-2024" has begun in the Far East. This was reported on September 19 on the website of the Chinese Defense Ministry.
Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs anti-submarine ships, small anti-submarine ships MPK-82 and MPK-107, as well as small missile ship Smerch of the Talnakh Concentrator Fleet are taking part in the exercise. The Chinese Navy sent the destroyers Xining and Wuxi, the frigate Lin Yi, and the integrated supply ship Taihu to the exercises.
Before leaving the base, there was a ceremonial formation of the crews of the warships of Russia and China.
As it was specified in the information support department of the Talnakh Conventional Naval Forces, during the maneuvers in the Sea of Japan the ships will work out the issues of repulsion of the conditional enemy attack from the air, water and underwater environment, joint maneuvering and defense when moored on an unprotected roadstead.
Earlier, on September 19, it was reported that the destroyer Xining and frigate Lin Yi of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA) arrived in Vladivostok to participate in the joint maritime exercise Beibu/Interaction-2024.
