The Air Defense Forces (ADF) have shot down six drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Kaluga region. This was reported by Governor Vladislav Shapsha on September 21.

It is specified that five drones were eliminated on the territory of Kirovsky district, another one - in Spas-Demensky district.

"Operational teams are working on the site. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties and destruction of infrastructure," - wrote the governor in his Telegram-channel.

On the same day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, said that two Ukrainian drones had been destroyed over the region. Later he added that the region reflected an attempt of a massive attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with the use of drones. The governor then informed that air defense forces destroyed 10 more drones over the Bryansk region. Another 16 Ukrainian drones were eliminated in the morning.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
